Find answers to frequently asked questions:
Q. What is a home study traffic school course?
Rather than going to a classroom to take a traffic school course you
can satisfy your traffic school or defensive driving requirement at home.
You can take our traffic school course on the internet all at once or one
section at a time until you have completed the course.
Q. How do I know if I am eligible for traffic school online?
Some states allow traffic school online and some don't. The laws for each state vary.
In some cases, traditional classroom for traffic school are regulated by the DMV.
However, each court has jurisdiction over home study traffic schools. If your court allows
home study traffic school then, they may also allow online traffic school. If you are not sure, you can
contact the court and request this option. It will be up to the presiding judge or commissioner to allow
you or not to take traffic school on the Internet. If the answer is yes, you can simply register online and
take the entire course online.
Q. Can I get additional time to complete traffic school?
If your court assigned due date is approaching and you need an extension, you will need to write,
call or go to the court in person to request an extension. Most courts allow extensions as long as they
are requested before the due date. If you wait until after the due date to request an extension you most
likely will have to make a court appearance and ask the judge for permission to take traffic school late.
Q. Why do I have to pay the court and pay you when I take traffic school?
Courts charge their own administrative fee that pays for the court to process your traffic school.
This fee allows you to take traffic school. However, the court does not pay us for offering traffic school,
therefore you must then pay separately for our traffic school services.
Q. Are there differences between taking traffic school online and taking traffic school in a classroom?
Both online traffic school and classroom traffic school will cover essentially the same material.
The DMV provides information to approved traffic schools and both our online course and a classroom traffic
school course will follow this information. When you take a classroom traffic school course, you will need to
travel to and from the class and normally listen to someone lecture you for the length of the traffic school course.
When you take online traffic school, you can learn the material at your own pace from the comfort of your home
and at your own terms. You will decide when and how to engage with the online traffic school course instead of
listening to someone lecture for hours.
